In modern times, humans excavate the remains of past civilizations to show how the past once was. But, what if in the future, there were no longer any humans, what would be left behind? Would it be garbage, dilapidated buildings, vehicles, environmental damage, or something else?
In this series, I am exploring that possible future. I want people to think about a nightmarish, dystopian future where the remains of humanity are shown in a grim fashion with the removal of the bright colors that inhabit our surroundings on a daily basis.
Though the photographs are made in modern times, the simple question of “but what if...” still lingers on in your mind even after leaving. This series offers a new perspective on the world we live in, an eerie, lonely view of the future of what we once believed was a colorful and cheerful world, teeming with life.
